Writing Local SEO Landing Pages for Your Michigan Business

Every page on your site should have its own purpose. It may be purely informational, or it may be for the keywords you want to rank. With the right content writing strategy, you can increase search engine rankings and increase lead conversions. A local login page is also known as a geolocation page or a website login page is a web page designed around a target keyword. People don’t always “land” on the home page of your website. Instead, they will go to pages that focus on the phrases they use in search engines. The local landing page is an important part of the SEO silo structure.

Local SEO

For each core service you have, you should have one parent page and five child pages connected to it. Each subpage is a login page written in a specific location. We treat blog posts and landing pages as separate entities. Someone can log in to your site via a blog post. In fact, this is the direction we are working on in the content creation process. However, blog posts are primarily intended to showcase the skills, knowledge and services of the business. It is usually informative, and landing pages may be more driven by sales.

How to Write an Effective Local SEO Landing Page

The first thing you need to do is to identify your target keywords. This will be the word or phrase on which the content is based. If you want to create an SEO island around one of the services, the keyword is most likely the name of the service + the location you are writing or just the name of the service if it is the parent page. Once you understand your target keywords, you can sketch out your pages. Think of someone who enters the term into a search engine. Do they want to know what information is in your business? You want to include this information as much as possible while still being able to easily scan the content. For more information about local SEO, please click here to read on Moz Website.

Here are some quick tips for website content writing:

Explain how your services will benefit your readers. Most visitors ask themselves, “What’s in it for me?” It’s your job to answer that.

  • Use the title to break down your content: The title will be doubled as an outline when you write the text.
  • Naturally, merge your target keywords across the content: Some people try to force keywords into their pages but this will immediately close potential customers. If you remember the key phrase while writing, it will appear on its own.
  • Separate keywords from locations if needed: You don’t always have to place keywords and locations next to each other in the content. If both are included in the content, the page will still rank well.
  • Explain how your service will benefit your readers: Most visitors ask themselves, “What does this do for me?” Your job is to answer this question.
  • Use a bulleted list at the top of the page: This will highlight the most important benefits, services or other information your audience can scan.
Write it directly to your audience: Use phrases such as “You can do for…” or “Use…” to engage readers and encourage them to act.
Use a call to action where applicable: We try to include at least two business phone numbers on all landing pages, but longer pages may allow for more call-to-action.

Write simple and easy to understand content:

Explain as much as possible with as few words as possible. If you need help in writing a blog post or would like to learn how to manage your personal or business blog, please feel free to reach out to Ranam Kazziha or schedule an appointment with one of Timelinepages Staff.
